Introduction to Literature ENG-131

This course introduces the principal genres of literature. Emphasis is placed on literary terminology, devices, structure, and interpretation. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze and respond to literature. While students can take this course at the same time as ENG-112/113/114, it is encouraged to take ENG-112/113/114 beforehand (for example: ENG-112 during the first minimester and ENG-131 during the second minimester).
