Take one of the following social/behavioral science courses. Two courses from two different prefixes are required to earn this degree.


Take one of the following natural sciences sets. Beginning Fall 2018, CHM 151 has a corequisite of MAT 171; if you select CHM 151 as your natural sciences course, you should select MAT 171 as your Math course or have credit for MAT 171.

Take one of the following social/behavioral sciences courses. This is your second social/behavioral sciences requirement. It must not be the same course already taken, and must be from a different prefix than the social/behavioral sciences course already taken.


Take 8 semester hour credits from the MAJOR ELECTIVES course list located at the end of this program.

MAJOR ELECTIVES/Other Required Hours:

Take 19 SHC from the following courses. Because one course cannot fulfill two requirements from different areas of the program of study, do not select for your Other Required Hours the course that you selected to fulfill your Communications/Humanities/Fine Arts requirement or your Social/Behavioral Science requirement. WBL-111 does not count toward graduation or in the 60 hour minimum for this degree since it is not a transfer course. Students selecting WBL-111 will be required to complete 20 SHC for Other Required Hours for a minimum of 61 SHC to earn the Associate in Fine Arts in Visual Arts degree.
